I am running VIA/S3G UniChrome Pro IGP graphics card with windows xp, and dx diag reports no problems.

However when I try to start roxio 9 my dvd it will try to profile my video card for the first time, and every time fail.

Is a patch available for my software, or some tinkering, I have done all my updates via microsoft, and to the best of my knowlegdge have the latest graphic drivers. Any help with this matter will be greatly apreciated, as I cna only use the audio software side so far.

Many thanks .

The software will not work with that video chip.  You need to upgrade to a dedicated video card.

could you state which video cards would work?

or will roxio allow a future download to support this video card?

thanks for the advice.

You need to check to see if your motherboard has an AGP slot or a PCIe slot.  There are many cards that will work.  Try to get one with 256MB of onboard memory.  128MB will do, but 256MB is much better.

No Roxio update will help. That onboard chip does not support the things in DirectX that the program needs, to run properly.
