Conflict with MyDVD 9 and WIndows media Player

Hi there...  I recently purchased MYDVD 9.  Since I downloaded it, it's creating conflict with my Windows Media Player.   All the videos from my digital camera are playing in slow motion.  I uninstalled MyDVD 9 and the WMP Played normally.  Can anyone pllleeaase help me???  I am going crazy looking for answers for the past 3 days.  Thanks in advance!

What version of WMP do you have?  Many have stated v11 has caused problems with v9.

Thanks for the quick response!

I had WMP version 11, then I rolled back to version 10 because I thought i will solve the problem, but it's still playing in slow motion.

What kind of video files are they? .mov by chance?

i don't know how to check, but i went to properties and it stated "TYpe of file:  Movie CLip"

When you look at it in Windows Explorer, does it have just a filename or does it include an extension like .mov .avi .mpg ? Something like filename.mov ?

I checked it and it says .mpg
