I accidentally burnt data on a CD which was burnt by a PC user.

Now, only one CD icon (new data) appears on the desktop, and the data previously stored on the CD won't appear.

When I check the track info, it shows 2 tracks inside the CD (track 1- previous data track 2 - new data).

Is there anyway that I can restore the old data?

Any info would be appreciated!

If the missing session was burned as Mac & PC there is a small chance all the data will be on the PC's session if inserted into a PC. Otherwise the disc may need to go to a data recovery service.
I'm just a fellow Toast-user so please don't blame Roxio for any misguidance I may provide. And do let me know if your issue gets solved. Cheers from Eugene, Oregon!

IIRC, a long time ago, the makers of Toast also created a small utility called Multisession Mounter, which only feature was to pick a previous session to mount. Great for extracting files from ISO 9660 discs whos files otherwise seemed lost by a newer session. This was pre OS X, my guess would be from the OS 8 days, although it may have continued to work on OS 9.
I suppose it's easier to find a PC with software that allows a previous session to mount, than it is to find an OS 8 box these days.

You can use ISO format to import the first session and save it out to a disc image.

Thanks, so that's how it's done.
