I installed EMC9 on my laptop (a Dell E1505 Media Center). On restart, I got the following message:

NGEN.exe - Entry Point not found
The procedure entry point GetRequestedRuntimeVersion could not be
located in the dynamic link library mscoree.dll.

I tried downloading a (.NET) fix from Microsoft, but learned it was already installed on my PC. Anyone with any experience on this one?

Google has tons of information on that error including this one.  that's the first time someone has mentioned that error with a Roxio install as far as I can remember.  Did you remove the version that came on the computer.  Did you install a second copy of Drag 2 Disc.  That will screw up things quickly.
Regardless of what I say about computer maintenance, there is no need to defrag a solid state hard drive.
