I'm hoping someone can help me with my setup for digitizing LP's. I have connected 2 RCA cables from the record player to a stereo receiver/amp. However, there isn't a single out on the reciever that can go to the computer. Am I missing something? thanks for your help!

What you need is a cable that has two RCA jacks on one end (to plug into the receiver's line output) and a stereo miniplug at the other end (to plug into the audio input jack on your Mac). These are available anywhere that sells audio cables. Some Macs do not have an audio input. If yours is one of those you need to get a USB audio device such as the Griffin iMic. The iMic includes the RCA to miniplug cable.
I'm just a fellow Toast-user so please don't blame Roxio for any misguidance I may provide. And do let me know if your issue gets solved. Cheers from Eugene, Oregon!

Thanks for your help, but I figured out my problem. The reciever I was using is a typical stereo reciever that doesn't provide outs to the computer. The cables are not the problem as I know what I needed, I just had the wrong amp. I didn't know that they make preamps specifically for turntables.
