With Media 8 can I convert my .wav files to the standard .cda files that are used on standard audio CDs.  I want them to be able to be played in a standard car CD player.

Thanks,
Wayne

Using Music Disc Creator you simply add the wma files and it will automatically make an audio cd playable in all cd players.  Keep in mind that some wma files purchased require a license and may not be copied.

Use Music Disc Creator, and burn those .wav files to a CD.  They will be in .cda format on the CD.

Thanks Bruce!

I assumed the software could do it but before I broke the seal (just purchased it from costco) I wanted to be sure.  Thanks much for the info.

One very important thing to remember is that those files on your CD are not really .cda files. They are but they're not.All the .cda file does is point to a space on the disc where the track resides, the track itself is actually a .wav file.If you were to copy that .cda file to your harddrive and remove the cd,nothing would happen ,except for maybe an error message telling you the disc was missing. When you use .wav files all you're really doing is recording them to the disc and putting in a pointer that tells where to find them.As both the other guys said Music Disc Creator does this just fine.

Thanks Terry, duly noted!  I am pretty new to this audio stuff but I have made some .wav files off a audio cassette of my children.  I just want to burn it to a CD for their mother to be able to listen to as well.

No problem, this'll work.I guess I was just trying to make you aware that you're not really making cda files.Sorry if it came off wrongly.

I have good days and bad days, none of which I can brag about.  But I really like the part about me needing a beer.  Do you think just 1 will work or do I need more? :)
