Hi,
I copied several mpeg files from my JVC camcorder (with internal hard drive) to my computer. I can play them fine on my computer, using Windows Media viewer, etc.
When I try to use the Create DVD or Express DVD, to put the mpeg files into my project, the files are not seen. It just appears to be an empty directory.
Any ideas of how I can get Roxio Meadia Creator 9 to see these files?
Thanks,
David

Don't use any of the Assistants. Use VideoWave.

You need to rename the file extension. For whatever reason, JVC decided to use the .MOD extension for their files even though they are standard MPEG 2 files. You will need to set Windows so you can 'see' the extension and then rename the files with the .MPG extension. Videowave and MyDVD 9 can use these files just fine after you do that.

Hi Gary,
That worked perfectly!
Thanks so much for your great help.

You're welcome... My daughter and nephew have JVC camcorders so I've gone through that, too.
