I'm having problems with adding video clips. I can add some of my MP4 files, and when I can add them, they don't have sound. Also, it just refuses to allow me to add any AVI files.

I think it has to do with conflicting codecs. All my files play perfectly in my Windows Media Player, but MyDVD just doesn't seem like it wants to recognize them. I'm using the Combined Community Codec Pack.

Is there any way to edit what video and audio codecs MyDVD 9 uses? Or some other solution?

EDIT: I think it might have something to do with the Fit to Disc option. I'm trying some things right now, but I'd still really appreciate any direct solutions any of you might have. I'm also using Windows XP if that matters.

If those mp4 files are from iTunes, they're copy protected and won't work in EMC at all.

They aren't. They're fansubbed episodes of a series I like that isn't for sale.
