We have a copy of EMC7 ESD here at work, and before I purchase a DL DVD for one of my users, I would like to know if this version with its latest update (which I think is only 7.0.430.0) will be able to burn DL DVDs?  I have seen in some other posts that V7.1.X would be required, but that update is not available to the downloaded version of the software.  Anyone know if Roxio is planning on maing an update to 7.1.X availlable for the ESD version?

That version will not support burning your home movies to DL media, but it will support burning data to a DL media.

A complete new version (7.1.....) is available to those who had the original download of version 7.0.  You will probably have to contact Roxio to see how you can get it.  You used to be able to sign in to My Roxio and, using your original username and the last 4 digits of the credit card you used with the orignal purchase, download the new version.  I don't know if that still works.

BTW, the complete new version supports burning of video and data to DL DVD's.
Life is good!

The only way I know of to get to the 7.1.x for downloaded versions was to redownload the program again. I don't know if Sonic/Roxio is going to be putting up an update otherwise. It's been quite a while now.
