Ok, so I finally got so fed up with trying to figure out how to use the EMC9 basic that I bought and downloaded the full suite. I installed it everything seemed ok. I have been trying to learn how to use everything, and I thought I finally had it figured out(a little anyway). Now everytime I try to do something no mater what program I am in( have been using videowave and then exporting to mydvd) the stupid program say it encountered a problem, is not responding and then it shuts down. How are you supposed to get anything to work with this silly program let alone figure it out. You digital guru's how long did it take you to figure out this program? I thought home movie editing was so cool and easy, this has been nothing but a giant headache.
Any suggestions other than telling me to shut up or deal with it would be appreciated.

Trial and error is the best way to learn as well as using the tutorials. There are books such as the 'Dummies' you can get that are helpful to some.
As for your problem, please post your OS and computer specs and be more precise with what error you're getting and what you're doing when you get it.

I'm having the same exact problem on my brand new HP Vista Home Premium machine. I tried to contact Roxio by phone, but no answer. I submitted a Web ticket, which remains open and unanswered. No one will support this product, which does not work with Vista, at least not for me. I downloaded the patch, still no help. I deserve a refund or a fix. This is wrong.

I downloaded this product onto my HP computer with Windows Vista. The program does not work with Vista. Every time I try something, such as copying a DVD to PSP format, it crashes. When I called HP, they told me that EMC 9 is actually not compatible with Vista. Roxio says it is, which is why I downloaded it. If it's not Vista-compatible, I just want a refund. If it is, I want support to make it work.
I tried communicating this by phone, but no one answers the Roxio help line. I submitted a Web ticket, which is also unanswered and still open. I downloaded the patch, but it didn't help. I've tried everything. Roxio is acting irresponsibly. I deserve an answer or a refund.

You need to contact Roxio, directly. I would start with Customer Service.

I've tried. I've tried by phone. I've tried by Web ticket. Roxio doesn't respond. They are not supporting the product. I'll stop posting here, so I guess Roxio wins. Nice business.

I had the same problem. The first step is completely delete any previous or preinstalled Roxio and or Sonis software befor you do the install. And then when you do the install it must be a clean install. If you go to Roxio support online and in the search bar type in "clean install" it will take you to a page with related topics. Find the topic that starts w/"000114CR", click on it. On the next page scroll to the bottom part of the page and you will find a link that says"clean install for Windows Vista", click on it, follow the instructions perfectly and you will be able to install EMC9 and it will work without any problems.
