Could be something as simple as a poor quality disc. Some burners don't like home made cd's but these days, most will play anything. You can try burning at a slower speed. Also, make sure you have the latest firmware for your drive.

I am having the same problem. Plays on computer, but not on CD players. THey go thru the motions, but no sound comes out. sad.gif
I used Maxell CDR 1x10 8x
I am using Photosuite 7, which I bought expressly to make cd's to play on the cd player.

How can you have the 'same problem' when you aren't using the same program?

The OP is using EMC - you are using Photosuite which was designed for, believe it or not, PHOTO CDs
If it ain't broke, fiddle with it until it breaks, then fiddle with it until you get it fixed

So isn't this an audio forum?
I also tried to create a new thread.  My "same" problem, has to do with the "not playing on my CD players".
And the reason I brought up this "14 month old thread" was for economy purposes.  Like putting like info together.  I find it quit agrivating and time consuming to search thru, in some places as many as 50 pages to find all the pertinent info.  Keeping it in as few places as possible makes it easier, and gives polite consideration for the seeker of info.

It may be that my player is from before the time they made these recorders?
It is a Pioneer PD-TM3.  I bought it January of 1994.

I wish the Roxio progam info had brought that part up in its grand promo.

I think it has to with the fact that you have PhotoSuite 7, not EMC 7, and there is a separate forum for Photosuite 7.  It is a few clicks below Audio.

If your car engine makes a funny noise, you don't expect it necessarily be the exact same problem as someone else whose car engine makes a funny noise.

Unless the hardware and software are identical, it is the same SYMPTOMS, but not necessarily (or likely) the same PROBLEM.

It is less confusing to have seperate threads for different problems.

However, if the objective is audio CDs, and since you have WinXP - have you tried either WinPlayer 9 or 10, or usinging WinPlayer's drag&drop style burning?  (It isn't actually drag&drop Packet-Writing, but the more stable Sessions format.)

That is what I have, Easy Media Creator 7.   It came with PhotoSuite 7.

Are there different kinds of CD's?  The ones I have do not specify what they are for.
Anyway, it plays fine on the ROM drive.  I have a JVC that says it will play CD-R's and CD-RW's, but it doesn't play this one.

You might try the Creator Classic in EMC 7 and try burning an Audio CD.

I am trying to use Roxio EMC because I have a Mitsumi disc burner.  It will not work with anything else.
I would love to use Windows Media Player, but it won't write on the Mitsumi.  sad.gif

The instructions say that Roxio writes in WAV format, and that If you want to change it you have to send it to the "sound editor". unsure.gif

I have spent hours looking for this "sound editor".   Will someone be so kind as to tell me where it is?

I totally hate having to change my settings everytime I want to use EMC. At this point, I am so exasperated, mad.gif  that I am seriously thinking to buy an external drive that I can use with Windows Media player -

Your posts are rally confusing. In your first post you mention Photosuite 7 which has nothing to do with creating audio CDs. What exactly are you trying to do: create an audio CD, an mp3 CD, a data CD or what?
