First 4 minutes BLANK of DVD copied from VIDEO-TS format

I compressed a dvd using Toast in the "DVD-Video from VIDEO_TS Format." In Copy Options I chose to copy only the main movie. I've done this before without problem, but this time there is a blank 4 minutes at the beginning of the dvd which I can't even forward through. I have to let it play for 4 minutes before the actual movie starts. Does anyone know why this is and how to eliminate those 4 dead minutes?
