I've uninstalled every piece of Roxio software that came preinstalled in Windows Vista on my PC. I've deleted every registry entry that refers to Roxio. I've uninstalled 2 Windows updates and have tried the patch from Dell... but every time I start up my computer I still get an annoying pop up telling me: Driver blocked to incompatability issues. Driver: CD Recording Software. Publisher Roxio, Inc.". Could anyone please tell me what the hell do I have to do to get this bloatware completely removed from my PC???

Go into add and remove programes, and remove Drag to Disk, reboot (issue gone)

Or

If it's a Dell, there's a fix offered by them on their site and a link on this site found here.

Hi. As mentioned above, I've already uninstalled every Roxio program there was (including Drag to Disk) and even tried the Dell patch even though my PC is not a Dell (as I read on another page that some people had had luck with that). I've also tried the other fix mentioned in the sticky about this problem, as well as a few other things, but I still get the same message on start up...

What is the make or model of the PC? laptop?

Uninstalled the update which corrected the error message concerning the driver, however I then lost my Weather channel program since the same update had corrected the program from working. I decided I would rather have the Weather Channel program and put up the error message, but when I attempted to reinstall the update, it would not allow installation and the message was stating " my system did not need it".
Now I have two problems ,the error message is back about the driver compatibility , and I have no Weather Channel program. Some fix?? Anybody I have any other ideas? blink.gif

Use Restore from Windows.
