Have been running Vista for about 2 months now (RC1 version) and discovered that Roxio wont run :|

Recently had Roxio 8 installed, and spent AGES trying to get it to work. DVD's i burned failed, would crashed randomly, but it was better than Nero; couldnt even add files with Nero!.

Uninstalled Roxio 8, and put 9 on! Thought because Roxio said it "is compatible with Vista" then it would go fine, how wrong..

After a reboot, i tried to open Roxio, obviously it was trying to register, and then Vista reports it has stopped working. Didnt even bother trying to debug it (VS 2005), but im stuck.

How can i stop reg, or use the program. WHY DOES VISTA HAVE SO MANY PROBLEMS? ohmy.gif

PC can handle it fine:
Vista RC1

AMD Athlon 64bit 3700+ (clocked at 2.2)
120GB Sata (OS Installed)
80GB (Backup)
400GB (Media)
Internet through LAN
ATI 1300Pro 256MB

Cheers,
Hippo

In your case, probalby because you are running a pre-release version still. Many programs didn't/don't work well with that version. Get a released version if you want to use that OS.

BTW, no version of Roxio earlier than 9 is likely to work properly with Vista as they are not compatible, including v 8. Many have v9 working fine on Vista.

Not only that Larry, but RC1 is a very old version - even RC2 came out several months before even the OEM versions were reelased

as you have said Daithi, there was a heck of a lot of fix's imbeaded in the release version over RC1, i remeber in my testing faze of vista i had issues getting EMC9 working , so i dont think there is much more to say on this post except.... upgrade to the full version , it works better than any RC1 or RC2
