I've clicked through to upgrade Sonic My DVD Version 6.1.1 and ended up with Roxio My DVd 9 which is incompatible with the projects created in the Sonic application. Is there a work round to this???

Partially. You can't open the v6 projects directly in v9, but in v9 you should have the option to import v6 projects. You'll get all the content and menu navigational stuff, but tnot the menu buttons.

Thank you - imported successfully but can't preview videos and get "80040207 Error while  Encoding Movie
An unrecoverable device error occurred. Error while  Aborting" when trying to burn a project to disc.
I'm running XP Sp2 on a Dell Inspiron 9300 with a NVIDIA GeForce Go 6800 dislpay adaptor Driver Version 7.8.1.1 which Windows says is up to date when I check for latest version. Any thoughts would be welcome.

Go to Nvidia's site and get the drivers and follow their instructions for installing them. You can't rely on Windows Update for these kinds of drivers, as they are often months or even years behind.
