Trying to make a slide show. Under DVD Builder, I choose "Add New Title" and select, yet title does not appear in front of background.

I have made half dozen slide shows using Roxio so I have experience, but just not an expert by any means.  Havent made a slide show in about a year. Something simple I hope.

Uninstall IE 7 and roll back to IE 6.  IE 7 breaks things.  Also roll back to WMP 10 if you installed WMP 11.

And a suggestion . . .  try creating your production in Videowave and then import it to DVDBuilder.  More reliable to do it that way.

Are you using Internet Explorer 7?   What you describe is what happens when Internet Explorer 7 is installed.

Microsoft installed it automatically as a 'critical update' on computers that have their Automatic Update turned on and it 'breaks' DVD Builder  ( as well as many other programs.)

You have to uninstall Internet Explorer 7 and use IE 6.   Microsoft's instructions on how to uninstall it and go back to IE 6 are here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/927177

Just got rid of IE7 and went to IE6. Everything now seems to be working.  I appreciate the help.  Amazing didnt think it would be so easy.  Turned off my automatic updates.  Other suggestions would be greatly appreciated, no matter how small.

Also, is there not a patch or something?

Again thanks!!

For the IE 7? The word is no patch for version EMC 7, because it is two versions behind!

Are you referring to a patch that updates EMC 7?  What version do you have?  Open Creator Classic, click on Help, click on About.  What version number does it show?

I have EMC7.  Yes it's old but I'm cheap!  Will break down and buy newer version soon.  Also agree that probably no patches for my problem with a old verison of Roxio.

EMC 7 and 7.5 are excellent programs. smile.gif

But they will not be getting IE 7 or WinPlayer 11 or Vista patches from Roxio. sad.gif

I believe that was covered in # 5 and # 7.

I can live without Internet Explorer 7 just like you can live without WinXP.

I wish it did widescreen, because it does everything else I need.  I use EMC 9 for capturing and editing my widescreen home movies.
