I finally got EMC9 installed after several trys with clean uninstalls done several times. Now when I create a little project from a captured mpeg2 from my camcorder and add a mp3 audio as background I am not able to create it as a video file in the mpeg2 format and have sound with it. The video is there but no sound I can create it as anything else, ie mpeg1 SVCD, etc but not as DVD in best or better. When using normal or smallest quality, the sound is only partially there and very jerky. I am opening the files in Windows Media Player 11. I did create a mpeg2 movie a couple of weeks ago using EMC9 before I had the installation problems and it works fine, sound and all and still plays in WMP. It is just that after the uninstall and reinstalls of EMC9 that I have this problem. Any ideas? Thanks
Production as MPEG@ has no sound

What OS are you running? Some people have had trouble with WMP 11 and rolled back to WMP 10 with success.

Using XP Home Edition and WMP11. Just tried something. Used setting of wide screen 16:9 and MPEG2 DVD best and the video save great. Still no sound though. At 4:3 aspect the video is real jerky and no sound. How do I roll back to WMP 10?

Where did you get the audio file from? What are its properties? I know it is mp3 but other than that? If you got it from an on-line store, you cannot use it directly in the project.
If you did not buy it on line, open Sound Editor, add that mp3 file and then export it as a wav file. Try using that in your production.
Update the drivers for your audio card/chip. Also reduce the audio acceleration by going to Windows>Start>run> type in dxdiag>OK> go to the Sound tab and move the slide all the way to the left. You can move it to the right if you find it necessary for other applications.
If you are saving a project it is OK to use the word save; if you are encoding a project, please use encode, render or burn to a disc. They do mean different things.
Regardless of what I say about computer maintenance, there is no need to defrag a solid state hard drive.

Will try things suggested when I get home tonight. Would installing CinePlayer DVD Decoder Pack do anything for me? Will it work with XP Home and WMP11? Thanks.
