I just paid $100CAN for Media Creator 9 as an update from Media Creator 7 which i have used for years. I am really pissed off with my purchase as it doesn't copy CD's to the file structure I need when i convert them to Mp3's.

In CD Creator 7 when i wanted to convert my CD's into MP3's i would press the "copy tracks from audio CD" button. Then a screen with several options would pop up. One of the options was "file naming structure". I always used "[artist]-[album]-[number]-[title]". This way the full file name was used; example, "The Cure - Head on the Door - 11 - Close to Me". This is how i need and want my files to be written.

In Media Creator 9 there is NO option for "file naming structure". Am I missing something? The only option when writing the songs is the default of "11 - Close to Me". I know that both versions 7-9 will write the information into the mp3 metatag but I really need the full name like this "[artist]-[album]-[number]-[title]". Is there a way to change the default file structure to include all info?

Any help is appreciated.
cheers,

I just found that i can do the file structure that i want but i HAVE to use "Creator Classic". Still not happy, but i guess it works. Is there way to do it from the Media Creator 9 "home -> Audio -> Convert CD" option?

The best options for ripping CD to files is still in Creator Classic. Although all the audio stuff has been removed from Creator Classic, it will still rip. Run CC9 and insert your CD. Let Gracenotes do it's thing. Select the tunes and drag it to project window and CC9 will want to rip the files. When done, just close CC9 down.
