I have succeeded in burning dvds with poporn, problem is that they will play in my stand alone home dvd player, but when I put into my Macbook Pro, it only reads as data, what gives??? I tried it on a pc also, same result...........

Don't know why. I'd try a different brand of media because that seems to be the biggest problem for various drives.
You can play it on your Mac, though. Open DVD Player and choose Open DVD Media from the File menu. Then select the VIDEO_TS folder that's on the disc. You may also need to press the space bar to get the menu to appear.
