Hello All,
I am multi-booting with Windows XP Pro 32-bit, Vista Ultimate 32-bit and Vista Ultimate 64-bit. I have had very few problems installing hardware/software in Vista 64. One problem I have encountered is the DVC90--no drivers available.
I am wondering if someone knows whether EMC 9 DS is or will be compatible (including the DVC90) with 64-bit Vista anytime within the next 90 days. Currently, I cannot get the DVC to work on Vista 32-bit, but it does work on Windows XP Pro.
I saw this topic was abandoned here in December 2006 and thought to resurrect it.
Thank you,

Hi edsager,
I'm dual-booting between Vista Ultimate x64 and XP x64 and have Vista Ultimate x86 on my laptop. Under Vista Ultimate x86 and XP x64 I have no problems with EMC9 Deluxe. I've got the Dazzle DVC90 that came with EMC9 Deluxe, but I've never thought about using it, since I don't need it. Even though Roxio doesn't say anything about Vista x64 compatability, I loaded EMC9 under Vista x64, simply because it works perfectly under XP x64.
For me, anything that doesn't require video rendering works fine under Vista x64. D2D works (and there's no issue with the Sonic DLA Driver incompatability!), Disc Copying works, Label Creator, creating data and audio discs works, audio editing works, and the virtual CD/DVD drive works (which is a big plus, since tools like MagicISO and Daemon tools do not yet work under Vista x64).
If I've got video work to do, I boot to XP x64 or I use my laptop (Vista x86). For everything else, I stay in Vista x64. I would be very interested in finding out how EMC9 Deluxe runs under your Vista x64 installation. You can look at my previous post (http://forums.support.roxio.com/index.php?showtopic=19022) regarding the error I get when trying to load any Roxio app that requires video rendering.
What I'm curious about is whether the error that I get is related purely to Vista x64, or whether it might be an incompatability with my nVidia drivers.
Regarding Roxio officially supporting Vista x64 within the next 90 days...ROFL!! Seriously, I think it will come eventually, but Roxio/Sonic still have quite a few hurdles to get over just to make EMC9 work better under Vista x86!

To get the Dazzle interface to work you're going to have to contact Pinnacle -it's their baby (the fact that it came bundled with EMC9 doesn't mean that Roxio has the drivers)
If it ain't broke, fiddle with it until it breaks, then fiddle with it until you get it fixed
