Is  there any Media Quality Testing Utility Software for MAC, as the CD-SPEED?KProbe etc ?

Toast 7 disc info dialog can show you the media manufacturer id, and then links to vidoehelp for user reports on brand/type.

Real life testing and user reports are what you get there.

All the good stuff is PC-only and requires special burners to take perform low level tests (e.g. PIPO). Nero is actually not a bad starting place. Plextor, BenQ and LiteON make burners that allow you to do low level tests. You also have to learn how to read the reports.

P.S. Or you can save yourself the trouble of rediscovering the wheel and just buy Taiyo-Yuden blanks which all of the freaks at cdfreaks.com prettty much agree are the gold standard. YMMV. ;->
