Hello  Everyone

The  people  at  bestbuy  lied  to  me  about  Roxio easy  media  creator 8: they  told  me  that  I  could  use  roxio  easy  creator  to  convert  files and  turn them in AVI, Or Mpeg,  well  the  program  is  just  what  it  is,  and  now  I  need  to  figure  out  what  to  do  with  it,  makes  me  feel  like  people  dont  care  about  giving  me  right:  information,  but  to  take  my  money. I  also  paid  for  another  program  at  Frys  electronics  "The Paint shop" which  I  got  to  do Avery  labels, and  when  I  installed  it , found  out  it  only  does  multi   labels, not  single  labels. Which  I  am  out  another $30.00, I  think  they need to  let  people  test  out  software  before  we  buy  it,  but  then  there  would  be  too  many  computer  for  testing.........how  does  someone  know  they are  getting  the  right  program  for  their  business  needs.

Actually our software does convert most video files, what type of file are you trying to convert?

Typically it's as simple as:
1) Launch VideoWave
2) Drag a video file from explorer in to the VideoWave storyboard at the bottom (the box labelled "1")
3) Click on the film reel icon and choose your export settings... (avi, divx, divx-hd, mpeg, mpeg 2, etc)

In reading his other post, it appears that he wants to convert the files to MPEG or AVI to put on his video Ipod.  EMC 8 should work just fine for that, I assume.

Hey Brockisit1, not to be mean but most sales people are sales people and they normaly get a small bref on the items in there shop or store, and in most cases they are on commision so to them , "a Sale Is a Sale"
at what ever the cost....
At the end of the day they know that the chance of you comming back if you are not happy is 1 out off 100
Im always that 1 (not happy then send it back)

No it will not, we don't yet have a software offering for PC that generates files for the fifth gen iPod but who knows what could happen?

BTW- Best Buy employees do not work on comission, however they do tend to shift people around in their stores, so you may have been getting software advice from someone who regularly sells stoves and microwaves.

I was in my local BestBuy looking for a replacement water filter for my fridge and since the store was understaffed one of their home theater people found it for me...

Most sales people rely soly on the information that is provided on the boxes by the manufactor(s) of the products they sell.  Unless you get someone who has the product themself,  they only know  the basic information about the product or product they sell.

VideoWave is the video edition portion of the app.  You can actually access the VideoWave functionality in MyDVD 8 directly when you right click on a movie title and choose 'edit movie'

They also try to double team you for service plans... I knew when I said I didn't want one on my xbox 360 that the second person would walk over and tell me how they bought one for themselves.  Then I asked how they bought an xbox 360 before the launch date since I was purchasing at midnight of the launch. :)
