I have to start by saying that I have been bitterly disappointed with my Roxio purchase and would recommend against any else purchasing the product.

This is but the latest in a series of problems with the product (including errors on installation, start-up, blue screens etc).

I am trying to burn a saved (video - .bin/.cue) image to a blank CD-R.  The media I am using and drives work fine with traditional drag-to-disc data copying (although that took a while to get working).

When I run disc copier I am able to load the image file (source) no problem.  Under destination the drive recognises the existence to a bank recordable CD-R no problem.

Yet when I press copy now a dialog box opens ans asks "Please insert a blank disc in this drive".  I have tried different brand media and also a CD-RW.  I have also tried two different drives.  The result is the same.

Is anyone able to assist?  mad.gif

My guess is that the bin/cue image you have is for a DVD not a CD. In which case you'd need to have a DVD burner and burn it to a DVD disc not a CD.

If it is for a CD, then try updating the firmwre for your burner.

Thanks Larry for your reply, appreciate your effort, but I'm afraid that's not the case.  I downloaded a free burning program from the net (ImgBurn) and had burnt the image to a CD and was watching the freshly burnt VCD on my TV in less than ten minutes.

In the meantime I lodged a support message with Roxio over a week ago on and have not even had the courtesy of a follow up (apart from the automated notification that my issue had been logged and had a ticket).

On any measure that indicates a very shoddy product and abolutely hopeless support.

I will never buy Roxio again angry.gif
