All,

After a call to Roxio today (could have been Sonic :-), I was told the EMC 8 Suite comes with the MyDVD Premier application. I, as many other have, received an e-mail to upgrade my MyDVD 6 and the link lists options to buy "MyDVD 8 Essentials," "MyDVD 8 Premier" and EMC 8 (Which includes MyDVD, according to the ad). I have seen traffic about options that are not available though in the MyDVD editing area in EMC 8 and there is speculation that EMC 8 only includes a watered down version of MyDVD (Essentials or an "Express" I have seen mentioned).

Can someone please verify the version or the limitations I would be facing if I get EMC 8 should I opt for that package?

EMC 8 includes EVERYTHING that is included in MyDVD 8 Premiere plus all of the additional applications.

BOTH applications include MyDVD and MyDVD Express.  MyDVD Express is a wizard driven task assistant to create basic projects.  Basically for people who don't want to customize the project and just want it burned.

Thank your for clarifying that- PAtrick. Earlier this wek I had received and email form sonic offering me My DVD & My Backup. I am assuming they both the same as what I have in Roxio 8

Backup MyPC 2006 includes BUMP 6 and STOPzilla (pop-up blocker)

You receive the SAME version of Backup MyPC 6, however do not receive STOPzilla with EMC 8.
