For a week now the "My Computer" on my PC desktop was very slooooooow. Using Windows Explorer for other directories worked OK, but somehow trying to view "My Computer" directory was slow. Very annoying.
The problem turned out to be a hung emulated drive set up by Roxio Disc Image Loader. I must have done a hard reset on the system when I was running the Disc Image Loader.
The fix was to run Disc Image Loader and delete the emulated drive. This appeared to hang, but when I rebooted, the emulated drive was removed & "My Computer" worked fine.
Thought I'd pass this along in case someone else is beating their head against their keyboard.
