My 32-bit version of Vista would crash blue screen of death with EMC 9 installed every time I inserted a blank disc or any recorded disk. It was perfectly fine with a stamped production disk. This was not the case till I followed the clean Vista install uninstall directions exactly. I then started the download paid for EMC 9 installer. It got to the CD-Key entry screen but kept telling me it was a bad key. I checked it 3 times to no avail.

Has anybody got advice for this situation? Roxio is not in business till tomorrow and you know how slow they are so I thought I'd ask for advice here because I'd like to get this solved.

Thanks.

Thanks for pointing that kb 000116CR out. I was again able to successfully enter my CD key to install. Unfortunately after a short period I am again back in BSOD hell. I'll open a new post after documenting my troubles in more detail.

this forum rocks! I only wish the makers of ALL the software I own had user forums.
