Using DVDit Pro, I completed a project that's 10 gb.  After reducing the quality settings, when creating a file or going direct to DL DVD, I get

3005 "temporary file exceeds the maximum file size currently allowed on your temporary drive.  To transfer file sizes larger than 4 gb, choose a hard drive formatted with NT file system.

I have 2 hard drives, near empty, ntfs, none work.  what's the problem?

Thanks

I too had this issue, which was a worry after having spent hours authoring the proposed DVD.
My movie was 30GB, and I was aiming for a single sided 4.5GB SD DVD to use at a community TV station.
I found that I had to reduce the target bit rate to 4100kbps in Project Settings>SD Transcoding to remove the error message and the project completed very satisfactorily.

As a pre-cursor to this all my files are NTFS; my DVD-IT temp drive has about 72 Gb free on it, my system (C drive has 16.7 Gb free), there is a single (D) drive with about 5.22 GB free space, but that is not used for any DVD-IT related tasks (AFAIK).

I get the 3005 error message under the following conditions:

I have an Mpeg file that is 5 106 696Kb big and with audio bit rate of 128KB/Second:

If I select the option to re-encode compliant files and then select a bit rate of 5173 Kb/second and larger then I get the 3005 error message saying that the temporary file space exceeds the maximum file size currently allowed on your temporary drive. Choose an NTFS file system that can accommodate files larger than 4 Gb.

When I hit about the 5400Kb/second then I get the expected message saying that the final file is too large for the DVD - which is expected.

But if I make the encoding bit rate 5172Kb/second or lower then the video encoding process starts and all is well - maybe the temporary file required for this bit rate is below 4Gb and so it can be accommodated on what DVD-IT pro thinks is a non NTFS drive - but I wish that Roxio would provide a fix that ensures that DVD-IT sees the temporary drive as it is - i.e NTFS with adequate free space that an handle files larger than 4Gb.

BTW I also use Avid DVD bt Sonic which is essentially a rebadged DVD-IT pro and this version does not give this problem.
