I am getting the same error. Done what Larry suggested but everything is ok. Reloaded the program but no change. Getting frustrated since I lost my work 4 times. My saved files are there but I can't open them anymore. I even tried to save my work as 2 files but they both can't open.

I also tried the instructions in the KB document recommended by Larry with no success. My computer cannot find a file msconfig to run! Is msconfig a part of Windows XP or is it downloaded as part of MyDVD 9 Studio???? What do I try next?

To get to msconfig, you click on Start, then click on Run, then type msconfig in the text box, and click on OK.

Go to your start button then run, a the open line type "msconfig" without the quotes and hit enter, this will bring the system configuration utility and you can go from there. It is part of windows.

Hi There
I seem to be having the same problem. I am running Windows Vista (so it may be all my fault!) - but Creator 9 should be vista compatible!

Problem is with Divx creator. If I look at the services - some are automatic but (Liveshare p2p and roxio upnp renderer and server are all stopped). However, Roxio Hard Drive Watcher 9 is not there at all. I have repaired the installation (with no anti-virus) but it still doesn't install this service.

Is this what is causing the problem? It happens when I select the file (Add) to be created as a dvd.

Regards

Duncan
