When I install EMC9, everything seems to be fine until Windows XP Pro restarts.  At that point, usually when the system is asking for a password, a BSOD occurs with a Stop error 0x00000022, indicating FILE_SYSTEM.  I have gone through the My Computer\Drive id\Properties\Tools\Error Checking and have selected both 'Automatically fix file system errors' and 'Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors' options.  The problem continues with no impact.  The drive in question is a 250G unit, partitioned at 130G, which was done because I saw base XP only supported up to 130G.

I would really appreciate any suggestions.

Depending on your version of XP, your BIOS (support for 48 bit LBA) and whether your system is Fat16 or NTFS, you can have hard drives larger than 250GB. You can view some info here
Did you have another packet writing program installed on your computer such as Nero InCD, or Sonic DLA? If so, it will conflict with Roxio Drag to Disc and will cause start up errors like you mention.

EMC 9 requires the use of NetFrame.  That is what put an extra user in the mix, and it causes you to have to sign in each time Windows boots up.

You can safely delete the user that it created.  Go to Control Panel, click on User Accounts, click on Change An Account, then click on the new user, and select Delete.

Reboot, and you should not have to sign in.

I only have my main user and the Guest user.
