Hello, can someone help me? I am trying to make a dvd with chapters in my "create or edit dvd project". I am adding chapters which consist of both pictures and movie clips made up of AVI files from my cannon digital cammera. I have made, so far, 3 chapters, but whenever I go to make my fourth chapter (I'm trying to fill a dvd's worth and only have half of it full) my system crashes and shows me a blue screen telling me it's making a "physical memory dump". It locks up and I have to do a hard shut off/start on my computer. Another message told me "device driver caused windows to stop unexpectedly. This type of error is referred to as a stop error" it says.

My system is a Dell xps 400, 1 gig memory, Radeon x600 graphics, pentium D, 280gighrtz processor. It consistently crashes if I attempt to go beyond these 3 chapters.

Thank You,

Aviator

What happens if you only add the 4th chapter by itself?  If it crashes, than you know there's a problem with something in that chapter such as a transition or effect.

I think it may be a problem with your video card.  Try the steps from the following thread:

http://forums.support.roxio.com/index.php?...c=2334&st=0

BTW, it isn't file size that counts, when you make a video.  It is the length of time that rules.  One hour of video, at best quality, on a standard 4.7GB DVD.

I even tried to make a fourth chapter with non related videos/pictures from another folder and it still did the same thing.

Thank you for your much needed help. I upgraded my video graphics (as suggested) and to do that I also had to upgrade "net framework", and my software is now working perfectly fine.

Thanks again, I'm really enjoying this roxio easy media creator 8.
