Wow, sounds like everyone is having this same issue. Mine is very similar except it is a slideshow that i'm trying to burn. I have attempted most everything listed on these posts. Will try one more thing tonight with launching from the program files, burning to a file w/o using 'fit to disk' setting. If that doesn't work I will be back looking for answers.
BTW, is Roxio doing anything to fix this problem? Seems pretty serious and I don't see any patches available for V9!!!
Very disappointed with this software...right now!

Since you have not described your problem, it is hard to offer any help. All you have stated is "my car won't start"
It would help if you posted your computer specs also.

You still haven't said what your specific "hanging" problem is. for example, does it sit at 0% ? If so, thats different than the posts you pointed to.

Ok I will be a bit more specific;
I used the CreateSlideShow feature; the slideshow ends up being about 28 minutes long. I then try to Burn to DVD using either of the two options available MyDVD or MyDVD Express (or something like that). When I burn either to a file or to the disc it stays at 0% forever; finally I have to End Task the job. I left it running all night.
I have an HP AMD dual core - I will post the entire specs later from home...
Like I said, I will try the fix that someone else was successful tonight, but I don't hold out too much hope...
I'm surprised that there isn't a patch availabe to avoid all the 'hangs'...
will see...

Thought it might be the 0% problem. That's different than it hanging at 99% (or any other %). Just starting the app thru Start - > Programs -> ... rather than thru the Home screen probably won't fix that, at least not entirely, altho you should still do that to avoid other problems. There is a patch available to correct the 0%, it's the latest video driver from your video adapter (card) manufacturer and the latest Directx9 updates. Get and install them.
