Okay so I used to have no problem in myDVD6 to get recorded tv from my media center in .dvr-ms and burn ws movies to run off DVD and these would play correctly on 4:3, pc or WS TV with a little simple editing (to remove ad's etc.). In upgrading I was hoping for better rendering - but what I am strugling with is how do you get the video for 16.9 presentation (yep menu title page is great!) to actually play in 16:9 and not some cropped size that sits within the TV-safe-zone - leaving great big borders all around the final image on the TV ! I've tried all the playback settings on video and TV to adjust aspect ratio's without any succes. So wondering if any of you know how to do this?

Can't get DVD Video to occupy full area of a WS TV. Something That was so easy to do in myDVD6!

If you go to the search box in the main forum and type in 'safe zone' there are a lot of posts on this issue and hints on setting the aspect ratio
If it ain't broke, fiddle with it until it breaks, then fiddle with it until you get it fixed
