I have just started using EMC8 and was using VideoWave8 to copy video to a Panasonic DV deck via a 1394 cable.
I select Destination=DV Camera and Create Video File. This renders the video footage and makes a .avi file.
When the file has been created, I select Start Output and the DV deck starts recording.

However on a few occasions, after the Start Output option is selected, an error message pops up saying that the tape is 'read only' and there seems to be nothing that I can do that will allow me to write to the DV tape except exit out of VW8, restart and go through the long rendering process again.

Is there any way that I could use the saved .avi file instead of having to render the whole thing all over again each time?
