Hi all - I'm just starting to want to convert my old cassettes to mp3 format and I know that there was a LP and Tape assistant in version 7.  Now I have version 8(updated) and I can't find it anyway.  Can someone tell me how to get there?

Thanks,
Wy

Try looking under Start,All Programs,Roxio EMC8,Audio and you should see it.You can also find it in the Home app under Audio,Convert LP's and Tapes.

It should be there.  I don't have EMC 8 on my computer now, but I know it was there.  On the desktop Home menu, it should be under Audio.

Hi - it's not there unless I'm looking in the wrong place.  See pic.

It is on mine.
What version of the EMC 8 suite do you have?
Have you tried a Repair in Add/Remove programs?
Did you do a Custom install and deselect anything originally?

Hi Larry - I have the latest version of 8 with all updates.  I have not tried a repair yet and i can't remember if I did a custom install.  Will I need the disc to add the program back in?  I'm currently at work and don't have it with me.

Is this a feature that is in the "Deluxe" version of the suite and possibly not the version Wy has?

Saying you have the latest version does not tell us "what" version you have. Did it come pre-installed on your computer or did it come with a new burner. If it is either of these you have a OEM version which may not contain LP and Tape Assistant.

I would like to thank all that responded.  It looked like I did a custom install when I initially installed the software.  All is ok now.  Thanks again.
