I have a requirement to record a large file that can contain up to 5MB of data, tif format, with a long file name.  The file is a collection business transaction images that are currently mailed on mag tape via overnight express.  Objective is to transmit the images over secure data links and reduce the risk of mail (hence data) being lost.  An easy answer is to record data on multiple disks and make multiple transmissions, but a single disk/single transmission is preferred.

So far, tests have shown EMC9 Creator Classic can handle file sizes up to about 4MB using an "ISO9660" format selected on the General tab and "Long file name" selected on the Advanced tab of Project Settings.  Anyone know how to increase the file size limit above 4MB?

Thanks,

Did you mean over 4GB? Select UDF, no bridge, uncheck validate source files. For files this large, you will need 4.7, 8.5GB blank DVDs or Blueray.

Thanks for your response, Gary.  SORRY, I did mean GB in the last paragraph, and I am using 4.7GB DVDs.  I'll try your suggestion, but I guess I also should have said these DVDs will be read by a Sun server running UNIX, which doesn't seem to like UDF formats.

You could try the UDF102 file sytsem with ISO9660 bridge, but not sure about the file size limit.
