Buying a new pc with vista. I have read posts on the compatibility of EMC9 with vista, but I have read where some software is written to take advantage of the duel core... Others are not. I have 8 on both of the other machines but I would like to know if 9 would treat me much better.

Thanks

In the Product Comparison Chart above, they refer to it under the DivX Pro Codec.
It's the only mention of it, I have found.

I have a dual core (not core duo) running Vista and Roxio EMC9 and no problems so far as I can see.Keep in mind that V9 is the only version that Roxio deems Vista compatible.

I have a dual core 4600+ amd came preinstalled from HP .I have media center and a tuner card. I have EMC 9 basic ,that also came preinstalled and from day one I have not been able to copy a disk in roxio.Well what happens is I'll put the disk in it will copy and then prompt me to put in a blank cd-r,I put in a blank and then the tray opens again box comes up telling me to insert a disk of one of these media types cd-r,dvd-r.dvd+r...etc..,which I had done ...I'm confused everything else seems to work fine,I thought maybe because of media center and digital rights copy disk in roxio maybe some how be defeated. This disk I have tryed to copy is an audio disk of my own creation.

The HP version of EMC9 was modified by HP and unfortunately, they are the only ones who know what was done.

You'd need to contact HP tech support directly
