Neither Easy Media Creator 6 or 9 will recognize my CD-ROM as a destination for files to be written to a CD disk, Please any trouble shooting pointers, tips or help will be appreciated.

The OS is Windows XP (Home), SP2. 1.4Ghz Pentium 4, 1.5GB RAM - Trying to Slipstream XP & SP2 + Add ons.

The CD-ROM is generic, a Lite-On LTR-16102B, with Microsoft Driver Date: 7/1/2001, Ver: 5.1.2535.0, and it does "Burn" to a disk when using windows XP.

Thanks for any help

Looks like a pretty old drive... but if XP will write to it, then I would expect EMC 9 to find it as well. Make sure you have the latest firmware installed on the drive. It looks like you can find it here. If you haven't updated the firmware for a drive, and don't feel comfortable with it, ask a friend that has done it to give you a hand.

Hope that helps!
