Wow. It took me 5 minutes of clicking through just to post a message. error after error. I'm logged in on one page, but it doesn't let me post on another...anyway...

I have to start out poorly by saying I have never been so frustrated by any program as Roxio. For the last 4 years it has caused me much internal pain. Sadly, it is what I have to use and have paid for. That being said, I would appreciate a new beginning and fresh start from Roxio support here on the forums. If this happens, I will feel there is some hope for this company and I won't die of ulcers...

I have the problem listed above about when attempting to burn a DVD. I have burned 6 DVDs over the last 2 weeks and the seventh (no changes other than materials) says, "Destination drive doesn't have enough space." I have attempted to burn an ISO file with the same error message.

There is enough room on disk and plenty on the computer.

My issue is that this should work as it has the previous 6 times in the last two weeks. I should not have to check anything, change anything, or reinstall anything. NOTHING has changed since my last successful burn.

Thank you for your help.

Try clearing your tmp and temp files. What destination do you have for both the program and your Windows programs temp and TMP files. Also check for malware and defrag your hard drive if you haven't done both recently.

I cleared my temp files and defraged the HD. No malware to be found.

I don't know on the program and windows temp, but nothing has changed since disk 6 working.

More ideas?

Obviously something has changed otherwise it would be still working!

"There is enough room on disk and plenty on the computer." ... exactly how much free space do you have exactly?

Also please list your system specs maybe someone can see somthing that might be causing your problem.

How big is the file, and what program are you using to burn the file to disc? If it is a data file over 4 GB, and you are using Creator Classic, in the burn options, change to UDF, No Bridge, and uncheck the Verify box.

myguggi. I have to apologize. I just wrote a mean spirited note to you. As I finished it I thought, "Maybe I've run out of room?" I didn't think it was possible because I've got 60 gigs and I keep most everything on an external drive. But, that was the issue. My laptop HD was down to 3 gigs. Unbelievable. Anyway, sorry for bashing you, even though you never read it.

AND, that was my problem. I deleted 6 gigs and everything worked. I will be back the next time! Thanks guys.

It's an easy thing to overlook. I've known people who install program files on a larger D drive and then wonder why they get 'out of space' errors cropping up. They forget that every installation adds to the C (system) drive even though the bulk if the install is on D.

I can recommend Ashampoo Winoptimizer - it scours the hard drives for unecessary files and removes them. It;s similar to Norton Systemworks in its effects, but doesn't mess up the registry (and actually DOES give an increase in performance.

btw - the usual culprits for losing space on the system drive are temporary internet files, c:\windows\temp and internet history. Everybody forgets to clean those out wink.gif
