won't burn data to CD-R will burn audio, but not data (photos)

I have Windows XP professional and Roxio Easy Media Creator 7.0. Just yesterday, after succesfully burning some audio cds, I was unable to burn data cds. Specifically, I can not burn my photos to a CD-R disc. Roxio says it was burned successfully, but the disc comes out blank.

What could suddenly cause data discs not to burn while auido disc do burn?

I tried using Windows CD wizard to burn the photos but with the same result. The disc was supposedly successfully burned but turned out blank.

Any thoughts as to how to fix or troubleshoot this problem.
