I have a Hp a1020n computer (a 2004 model with 1g of ram and a 200g hard disc) with integrated graphic card (Intel GMA 915) and integrated audio (Realtek hd).
I am happily surprised, but I can use the 3 d transitions in Videowave with this graphic card and I can record music from Internet with my audio card even if some said it can not !
So do not be discouraged if you encounter problems with Roxio, it can work very well.
Check and set your computer specifications before blaming Roxio.
Roxio EMC9 seems to be more stable or sturdy than EMC8 ... or my computer becomes better when it is aging!
I have just terminated a 45 minutes DVD of photos and videos (including musics, narration and 3d transitions) of my skiing season with no problem.
For 79 canadian dollars , Roxio EMC9 is a bargain.

Experience is a large part of it but as far as finding answers already posted a zillion times, if someone is too lazy to do a search themselves, then I'm lazy enough to copy and paste an answer.

It's a lot easier on the fingers to c/p the required answer from another post rather than type it all up again in different words - why re-invent the wheel?

As a thought - if you copy from one source it's plagiarism - so why if you copy from three sources is it 'research'?

whether it is one or many sources, it's plagiarism if you don't reference the sources, research if you do.

Hey Michel, thanks for the nice compliment regarding Roxio. What you posted just makes a whole lot of sense and based on all the problems I have had, I would venture to guess That I corrected most of them by learning from this forum. Happy DVD'ing Michel and come on back and help out on the board some more.

We used to have that quite prominently in a "Hints" posting when we had only one or two forums.

I personally think that information you find out yourself stays with you longer than stuff which is handed to you on a plate, but many of the users with problems just want a quick answer and won't even read the vast array of pinned messages.

Because of this a number of the volunteers here spend much of their time sifting through the boards and collecting answers for people with problems. It's far from ideal, but what can you do that's more effective?
