When I try to copy a disc (nothing that is copyrighted). It goes through the whole process and then when it says "Insert blank disc" is keeps rejecting the disc and asking me over and over for a blank disc. This happens even with discs that worked a few weeks ago. I tried it with data and it works fine. I even bought new DVs and still that same problem. Everything else seems to work fine.

Thanks in advance for any help.

If you have allowed auto-update to install IE 7 on your computer, you need to roll back to IE 6. IE 7 makes changes in WinXP's inner workings, which disables a lot of software, including EMC 7, 7.5, and 8.

Have you installed anything since it last worked? Media Player 11 or anything else?

Uninstall it via Microsoft's method of doing it.

WMP11 also wrecks Roxio apps right up to and including EMC8

I unistalled media player 11 and now have 10. The program still does not work. Would it work if a purchased a different version or reinstalled?

Thanks,

Disc Copier is obviously looking for the correct media. Not that I don't believe you but are you sure you are putting in a blank, recordable DVD?You haven't changed from + to - discs have you?You haven't by chance formatted the discs you're trying to use?
Another thing is to make sure that the burner has the latest firmware version installed.

If the solutions that Terry just posted, don't work, try a Repair of the software, via Add/Remove Programs.
