When VideoWave is closed either by File > Exit or the Close button, the program window closes and returns to the desktop. However, when I had problems in other applications, I saw in the Windows Task Manager that VideoWave8.exe was still running. In fact, I have seen 2, 3 and 4 copies of VideoWave in the Task Manager. Since this takes 32,804 kb of memory for each copy, this is a real problem. To get rid of it, I have been terminating all copies in the Task Manager, which is a dumb way to have to do it. When I terminated VideoWave, the problems in other applications went away.

Has anyone else seen this? Any suggestions or comments will be really appreciated.

Yeah, I've noticed this too. However, if you wait a couple of seconds before launching another application (ROXIO) the task goes away. I noticed this when I was editing in VideoWave and then launching MyDVD. Sometimes MyDVD would not even come up. Give it a shot, it works for me...

Thank you for the suggestion.

However, I'm not sure this always works because I have gone into VideoWave and then worked in a non-Roxio application (such as Word) then gone back to VideoWave much later and the problem is still there.

I have tried to get back into VideoWave right after closing it and gotten the message that I am trying to open VideoWave but it is still running. This ties in to your suggestion.

Shouldn't it shut down when closed although I understand it can takes a few seconds?
