I'm trying to burn a master here, and getting rather frustrated.
I'm using Jam 6.0.3
I've got 4 tracks, no pauses between, except for the last one. (the others just butt-spliced, they contain their own spacing)
I set the offsets to 10/10, as would seem reasonable thing to do to ensure happiness with older players. 10 is short, even!
On QC listening, I hear a little glitch between tracks. Except on the one with a pause!
If I make the offsets lower (ie 5/5) the glitch is heard closer to the start of the incoming track.
If I make the offsets zero (0/0) there's no more glitch ... but .. tradition says we're supposed to maintain some offsets to keep old players happy, right?
I'm using a Plexwriter Premium II burner, and my G4 is on OSX 10.4.8
Why are the index offsets causing little audible hiccups?!!
(thanks)

This is outside my expertise, but just to clarify: are you listening to a burned CD, to an Sd2f file or only to the preview in Jam?
I'm just a fellow Toast-user so please don't blame Roxio for any misguidance I may provide. And do let me know if your issue gets solved. Cheers from Eugene, Oregon!

Ah .. sorry -- not clear ... By "QC listening" I mean I'm checking playback on a CD player
Thanks

It sure would be nice to get at least a semi-official reply on this ...
But in the meantime, I've found that if I make the end offset lower than the start (ie: 10/5 instead of 10/10), there's no glitch.
So ... perhaps the bug is that it creates glitches on butt-splices with equal offsets greater than zero?
Bueller? Bueller?

I'm a bit amazed that I've not been able to get an answer from Roxio to this ... Not here -- although it would be nice -- I mean via the "web ticket" support. It's been languishing in there for nearly a month.
I guess it's further evidence that relying on prosumer software is a bad idea in a professional setting. I just like the simplicity of the app and wish it was better.

Just in case anyone's interested, today ... today I get a reply to the web ticket. Take a look at the first post here for an idea of how long I've been trying to get an answer to my web ticket. (3 1/2 months)
And, as replies go, it was completely useless.
A common-sense checklist that I've already gone through.
And now the web ticket and its history are gone from my "selfservice.roxio.com" page.
Amazing, and deeply disappointing. Shame on you, Roxio.
