I am trying to import an HD video exported from Premiere Pro Media encoder. The video is 1 hour 45 minutes long and takes about 10 -15 minutes to import. The video is "compliant" so why does it take so long?
The video is a m2v file and the associated .wav file imports immediately. I don't remember it taking this long in the past. I just upgraded to a new system and now have a Quad Core system with 2GB RAM, so there are plenty of system resources available.

That sounds like a codec issue. It should take maybe 20 seconds to parse that file upon import. I have heard some bad things in the field (not with DVDit Pro HD) about windows media player 11 and even IE 7. are those part of your system? are those differences from your previous system?
