Easy Media Creator Suite 9 is by far the worst software program that I have ever tried to use. Let me say by way of background that my first computer was made by Texas Instruments and didn't even come with a hard drive so that gives you a little about my experience.

I first starting having problems with Roxio when for some unexplained reason it would interrupt my computer useage and tell me that the feature that I was trying to use was not available and I needed to insert the program disc in order to use the feature. At the time I was NOT even trying to use Roxio. This went on for several weeks usually in the middle of something important but nothing having anything to do with my use of Rosio. I was not using Easy Media Creator 9 suite or any of its features.

I finally got fed up with these install nag screens so i inserted the disc and tried to do the install i thought the program was attempting to access. well that didn't work either. the program did a partial install and then informed me that one of the dll files could not be found. so even though I had used the program successfully in the past i was now now able to use it.

As my frustration mounted i went into Windows XP Professional and found a listing for the installed program Easy Media Creator Suite 9. I tried to uninstall the program and while I don't remember the exact message i was inofrmed that i did not have the necessary programs to uninstall the program and it referred me to a microsoft site.

OK now I am stuck with a non working program so I visit the Roxio site and I am told that Roxann can help me. What a joke. She was absolutely no help and simply pulled up a lot of links that had absolutely nothing to do with installing and uninstalling the program.

Now i print out a 3 page instructioon sheet that outlines a uninstall procedure from Rosio. I even go to the Microsoft site and install Windows Install Clean up and carefully followed the rest of the instructions in an attempt to remove all evidence of my earlier botched install. By the way several of the file folders could not be removed becuase it said the programs were in use - even when they were not. Yes I tried to drag them to my desktop and delete them and yes I disabled all the start up programs and yes i went through a bunch of directories and subdirectories as well as editing my registry in an attempt to uninstall the program.

ALL THIS NONSENSE TOOK ABOUT 1-2 HOURS.

Well guess what I tried to install the program and now it says that my CD key is invalid even though I had previously installed the program with this same key.

So i jump over to the forums and mistakenly thought I might get some help. It was suggested that I needed to download emc9rmv.zip and run it (The sip file is only 7KB and the unzip file is 10KB why bother to even zip the file) well after unzipping the file and creating emc9rmv.exe when I try and run the program it informs me that either I don't have the right path to the program or i don't have permission to use it.

NEVER AGAIN WILL I WASTE MY TIME TRYING TO USE A ROXIO PRODUCT AND I JUST WANTED TO WARN OTHERS ABOUT MY NIGHTMARE THAT IS STILL UNRESOLVED.

PS I EVEN WENT TO A SECONS COMPUTER WINXP PRO THAT IS MY DAUGHTER'S AND I EXPERIENCED ALMOST THE IDENTICAL PROBLEMS. WOULD NOT INSTALL ALL THE FILES AND KEPT TELLING ME TO INSERT THE INSTALL DISC EVEN WHEN I WASN'T USING THE PROGRAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry for all the typos but I am angry and frustrated over what should never happen..........................

Nice rant - pity you didn't give any other info than you appear to have a stuck caps lock key.
