angry.gif has anyone found a solution to this issue. i purchased this package and get an error saying that a program has finished unexpectedly then shuts down. From the sounds of it this product is crap and has suckered us all into the Roxio toilet bowl. Should have figured it since they did the same crap with thier burner software when upgrading from 98 to me.

Similar problem here.

Here is the e-mail I sent to Roxio.

It's been a week and no reply.

****************************

I installed it. It shows up on the system tray.
However, WMP does not see there is a codec.
I run MS Windows XP Video Decoder Checkup Utility. It returns that there are no MPEG-2 decoder installed on this computer.

I have uninstalled DVD pack, installed the latest DirectX, reinstalled DVD pack. The same result.

Program->Sonic->CinePlayer folder contains:
LeaderReg
UNICOWS.DLL

Please help me as to how to install the decoder / codec that is missing now.
Thank you!

I have posted a few cries for help in an attempt to get Cineplayer to work. No one seems to be interested which includes Roxio. I have now downloaded a trial version of Cyberlink and guess what: I can play DVD's without hassle. I'd give Roxio the flick if I were you. Fred V.

I agree. I can't launch my program. however I get no error at all. For all intents and purposes it seems to be there. However, my windows media says there is no disc in drive, when there is. It won't read any disc at all and there is nothing to tell me why. Gizmo2

I can't launch my program.

There is no specific program to launch with the decoder pack. Just use WMP.

my windows media says there is no disc in drive

This has nothing to do with the decoder pack. This is a WMP issue. Can your drive read the CD? Right click on the CD drive and select "Explore". If there are files on there, then the problem lies with WMP. If not, then the problem is your drive.

You can try updating your Video Card Drivers and make sure that you have the latest DX installed.
