You didn't list your burner brand and model. Does EMC 9 see it?

How are you trying to copy? Are you going through the Home app or are you going through the Start menu?If you're using the copy from the Home app try using the one from the Start menu and see if it makes a difference.
I'm able to copy both a cd and dvd using Disc Copier from the Start menu.
Another thing I noticed is you said "own original audio disc".Is it recorded on a cd or dvd?How was it made? You can't copy from a cd to a dvd,it has to be the same type of media.

Hey fellows thanks for your help..my drive:ATAPI (PHILIPS-LITE-ON) dvda dh16a1l. I have been able to burn data and or files using roxio 9 ,but was unable to copy (audio cd ). Last night I discovered that if I followed this procedure it worked. Started creater ,selected copy disk ,inserted disk to be copied,at completion of copy the drawer opens i remove the original ,the dialog box says insert a disk and lists compatible types so what I'd done previously was insert the blank and click ok on the dialog box the drawer would close and within seconds reopen with the same dialog box prompting for compatible media. What I found would work is when the drawer opened and the dialog box came up,I put in the blank and waited a few seconds(like the time you might think it took the drive regognize the media)then i hit the ok on the dalog box and WALA it worked. My Question now..... Is this the way it should work ?

Yes, that is the way it should work. It takes time for the media to spin up and be recognized by the burner. Then, when you click OK, you should be good to go.

As much as I liked my Plextor 716A, it was a dog for recognizing media when put in. Even though I know that it didn't take 5 minutes to boot up, it seemed like it.
