Usually don't have problems burning data DVDs but this one project won't burn.  Keep getting this error...
"There was a problem writing to the disc.  You can try again by clicking the Retry button.  You will need another blank disc ready." Have gotten this like 10 times.

Sense: 03  ASC: 02  ASCQ: 00 (Command 2A)
-------------------------------------------------------
Px.dll: 2.2.54.500
pxdrv.dll: 1.1.68.0
PxMas.dll: 2.2.54.500
PxSFS.DLL: 2.2.54.500
PxWave.dll: 2.2.54.500
pxwma.dll: 1.0.0.3

It's not the media cause I use these discs all the time.
Already tried moving the data to the local hard drive.
Already tried increasing the recording memory cache.
It did finishing burning ONCE but would NOT verify data.

Using the Roxio Creator Plus Dell Edition software.  It's already been patched for the WMP11 bug.
Any ideas?

I have the same error using MyDVD and also using RecordNow (both on the same HP machine running on Windows XP Media Center Ed.2005). Is it really a problem of Dell?
I never had problems burning Cds or DVDs, even dual layer.
But since a couple of months (windows upgrade????), this error come up when I try to burn DVD (both + or -R, and also with different brands).
I also tried to burn datas (not avi or similar). But I always get this message, and I can't burn dvd.
(burning CDs doesn't have problems, all works fine)
I would try to re-install Sonic application, but I bought them from the site, and I don't know how to download again. Suggestions?

Those are drive communication errors (hardware). Sounds like an issue with your burner.

Sense key errors are most commonly caused by:
- media failure (the recorder does not like the particular brand, or that piece of media)
- A buffer underrun (the recorder was trying to burn the disc faster than the computer could send data to it
- Recorder failure (the recorder may be broken or about to break)

Suggestion, since it seems to impact DVD burning only -

Is this a new spindle of DVDs, that you hadn't used before?

It may not be in the list of DVD media recognized by the drive.  To deal with that, update your drive firmware.
