I am trying to install EMC 9 on Vista Ultimate and I get the language selection screen then it tries to start and I get the 03F2.800.70005 error message. The knowledge base says to disable the anti-virus adn firewall software, but it still happens. Any suggestions?

Try doing an anti-virus and malware scan first, then defrag the hard drive and try again.

It's possible that something is running in the background that is blocking the installation, so shut down all running apps after doing the scans

If it ain't broke, fiddle with it until it breaks, then fiddle with it until you get it fixed
