Anyone experincing any issues with adding text to photos within a MY DVD 9 picture Slideshow?

When I create any new MY DVD9 project slideshow and attempt to add text to any of the photos in the slideshow, it creates 2 pictures, one with the text I added and a seperate original photo. Both photos show up in the preview and on the DVD once burned.

The Problem is I cannot remove the picture without the text.....no need to see the photo twice!

Anyway around this?

Try it in VideoWave, and see if the result is the same.  I saw this posted once before, but I don't know if the problem was resolved in the MyDVD program.

You could use the search feature and try to find the other post.

Rather than adding text in MyDVD, have you tried adding text to the picture using photo programs such as Photosuite, Photoshop etc.?, before adding them to your DVD?

To add to what grandpabruce said, the problem is with the MyDVD Slide Show Assistant and has not been resolved.  If you use the three step Assistant, in the third step, you can edit the show in the full video editing program.  It may not be called Video Wave but it will look something like this.

[attachment=2962:attachment]

To add text to an image, first select the image and then select internal track.  A window will open with the selected image highlighted will open, add the text there.  There is a video on how to add text using that program.
Regardless of what I say about computer maintenance, there is no need to defrag a solid state hard drive.
